I like what WS6 did but my lack of talent prevents me from duplicating that. My question is, if the stock inserts will fit, then shy shouldn't the stock football go back on (with no backing plate)? I mean, is there a center hole in the ness a/c or not that fits the stock bolt? I'd like to just put the football back on until I find the cover I really like and want. They guy I bought the kit from emailed me back and told me the football WILL go back on there. Is that true or not? Or is some sort of plate/bracket required to fit any cover whatsoever on there?
The stock football WILL fit with no mods. I just like it better without it. The insert (flamed in my case) for a stock football cover will also fit perfectly in a Big Sucker.
2nd KTM's comment. Put my stock football back on and looks/fits fine. Still looking for another cover to swap out, but haven't found the one that kicks me in the head and says buy me yet
BS 1 is what I ordered. Stage 1 is max for me. I'm not trying to build a death machine here - just a good running, sounding, cruiser.
I'm not trying to keep the football but I want to put something on it until, as someone else said, I find a cover that screams "buy me". So far, I like the flames insert and I really like what WS6 did but I'm not tooled for that. Maybe I'll get a machine shop to do it or something.
Another question for the guys using that BS Stage 1 with just the end cover, ie flames insert and center section. Are there any rain issues? Is getting caught in the rain giving any issues or concerns? Also, if it is going to be sitting in the rain, (live in WA, could get stuck at work), do you cover it up with anything, Thanks

I asked someone else that too but haven't gotten an answer. I see a lot of open A/C's out there and have always wondered. Even the hyper chargers with the butterfiles that open up I've wondered about in the rain. I've seen some open ones with a "sock" that goes over them but it doesn't appear waterproof.
I've never had a problem with rain and the naked a/c and have run them for a few years. Nowadays, the only time I ride in the rain is if I get caught out there.[:@]
