Hi all I have a 2005 superglide custom im trying to make it a duel disc and have brought a 39mm fork slider that i was told was the same but turns out to be a 2002 slider does anyone have any ideas on what i can do to make the axle fit thanks
I dunno, but I'm thinking your best bet would be tojust buy the HD setup. It comes with the appropriate lower fork leg, lines, master cylinder, caliper and rotor but something like $350. That's a screaming good price, IMO. Heck, just a rotor for my previous bike would have cost more than that!
I don't suggest you try to make anything on the front-end fit. Get the parts that are made for it. Safety first (or a close 2nd).
Just an FYI... you are going to have to change your master cylinder and hoses after adding the 2nd caliper.

Are we talking about chrome parts? A chrome master cylinder will cost about $300, a chrome caliper will cost about $350 or so, etc. If black, still hard to believe it would be so cheap. What is the part number for the kit... or where did you get it? If it's that cheap I may buy it, have the parts chromed and put them on my WideGlide.
