Default lsr 2-1

Hello I am looking at buying a lsr 2-1 pro pipe for my street bob and I was wondering if there was anyone in the state of iowa that has one. Everyone that I ask about this exhaust has no idea what it is. I jsut want to hear it. Before I spent the money on it.

The guy at my dealer recommended them.

The guy doing my high performance build said stay away.

Each one is hand built, so there are some quality control issues it sounds like. Also sounds like a bitch to tune, and only a few tuners, good ones, familiar with the pipe, will give you the results you are looking for.

So it sounds like a crap shoot. If you know who you're gonna have tune your bike I'd ask their opinion. If you get a good pipe and a good tuner who knows the exhaust together, sounds like you could make some power. Also sounds like more often than not you just get a big tin can...

Some people swear by them. I get the impression it's more to do with custumer loyalty than real performance gain. Small buisness. Although when I contacted them, they were very short with me.

Bottom line; there are other 2>1s out there that can perform almost, if not just as well, are less expensive, and will give you more consistant results from the tuner. But if you like the looks and sound, and have a tuner who knows how to do it, go for it.

I ordered one yesterday, and I am confident that it will work better than the Rinharts I have now.
The constuction looks far superior to alot of crap Ive seen out here.

Someone did post that the pipe had tuning issues, but the comments didnt make sence to me. The poster said that he switched from an LSR to a Rinehart and it was better.
But I went to a Thunderheader to a Rinehart, and my bike went to complete ****. and NO amount of tuning was going to get that much torque back! Sothere comming off. Cams and carbs and compression all play a part in the game, but I know that my setup should have a very strong low end and when it disapeared I knew somthing was up.

It shouldnt be any different than any other pipe change/ rejet.

Ill let everyone know how it works out in about a month, when I get it.

A month... lol

The, that's another thing...

A guy I know ordered one, they said it would be a month... took three... when it got to him it was dented... had to send it back.

I know people have had success with them, it just seems like too much of a crap-shoot for that much money, and I'd bet you don't see your pipe for at least two months.

Good luck though. Please let us know how it turns out.

I'm looking at D & D fatcats and Bassani Road Rage 2 into 1. Trying to nail down which one will give me more low-end. I really like the looks of the Bassani though.

Haven't done it yet. Come spring I'm gonna head out to GMR in Prescot Arizona and have them do their 107". That should put me at least in the 110s for tq/hp, they said they even get into the 120s on both with that build, so that's the plan. Sounds simple and relaible... and will get me 80% of the way to where I want to be. Don't really want to "push" the engine 'till I have a second bike that I can keep reliable.

I'd look into them. If you have an 88 the "kit" they have for you would put you up to98", and it solid too from what I hear. They'll do anything though. The kits just seem simple, they will stand behind them, and you know that the parts are a good fit for eachother.

I have not heard any negitive press about quality, Im local and I told them that I would pick it up in person.

So, if its messed up we can fix it right then and there.

I dont have super high expectaions, I just want it to work like it did with the smaller primary and ill be OK.
