It's all part of the "Harley mystique".
That and the clunk they make going into first gear...C'mon summer, I hear ya on that!!
Hi All,
Well, looks like i sorted the mysyery noise.
Being new to Harleys, and only done 450 miles so far i didnt know what to expect riding one.
Anyway, while cleaning the bike i found that the front O2 sensor plug wire was hanging loose, looks like the dealer must have forgot to replug it in after fitting the new exhausts. I have now plugged wire back in under the regulator.
Bike now runs great, and the noise has gone, along with the odd popping and the erratic throttle response.
Thanks for the replies.
All the best,
Jeff.
