I have run the SE plugs and I have run the V rod plugs and they work OK if you have over 10 to 1 comp.
as for plug wires, I have had the best luck with Magnecor (magnecor.com)wires or I make my own from MSD 8.5 mm stock.
I was told by a Japanese auto engineer a couple of years ago that in most cases, OE plug wires are fine, but there service life in there best form is only about 2 years due to the hight energy of the modern ignition systems. So, he was implying to replace them frequently for best results

For anyone interested, here is a reply from Mike Stegmann at Team Latus HD:
Yes, the SE wires are cleared for (use) on ION sensing systems, when using the correct part number for the application. I do not agree with the "limp" mode (would have to be a pretty severe case, causing other more worrysome problems) but have seen "no combustion" codes set by aftermarket wires. Other causes can be incorrect spark plugs and accessory plug covers, often installed along with wires.
