I have 07 Harley Street Glide and put SE spark plug wires on it. Then I heard a rumor that the SE wires aren't as good as stock ones.
Also I heard that there was bulletin about this from Harley.
Has anyone heard of this.
Thanks
Hmm...I run the SE wire in both my scoots; can't say that I notice a difference in performance, but the SE wires are thicker than stockers and they offer them in colors.
I ran them on my Dyna for 4 years with no problems and have another set waiting to go on my Road King this winter. Like has been said, no better/worse than stock, but the colors other than black are a nice choice.
My cousin bought a dyno. A guy from Arizona that we called about dynos told us the SE wires are harder get good readings on because of resistant. This is over my head a little, but when they put the connection over the spark plug wires the dyno doesn't pick up the magnetic field as well.
I think that this telling me the fatter SE wire is better. There is allot of heaver wires out on the market that may stop the full circle on the dyno connection. There are other places to connect the dyno. The Arizona guy said Harley had a bulletin saying so. I think he's dreaming.
Were rookies on the dyno for now.
Thanks
