Hi,
I dont like the twist off petrol cap, no matter how careful you are twisting it off, the tank gets scratched.
Has anyone fitted a different cap ? how difficult was the install ?
or what else can i do ?

with the newer H-D's, you have a closed fuel system to feed the fuel injectors. Any new cap will have to be able to seal the petrol tank to maintain pressure. It's all the time gotta be something...........

 

You might check into the caps for the new Dyna SEs. Not sure but it looks like they are flush mounted, and probably pop up to remove.

after the cap pops up, it still has to be twisted off

 

ive got the pop up type on my roadking... when it rains, water is caught inside the mechanism...then when you twist open the cap, the water runs into your gas...
