Has anyone done the Compensator Sprocket and Clutch Hub swap for a lower final drive ratio on an 07 or 08? I'm not sure if it is the same on these 96" bikes as the 06 and prior. Wondering how it runs on the newer Dynas.
Iswaped out the compensator for a hard drive30 tooth directdrive sprocket and chain by Evolutions Industries. This gave me a more usable 6th gear. I believe the earliercomps andgearing are indeed different.
Wow, that Evolution 30 Tooth Sprocket looks like a 13% difference. That should be very noticeable but would 1st gear be to short. It would be nice to hear from someone that has this setup in use.

treeExtractor does have it. Even if 1st is short, how much time
do you spend in it compared to 4th, 5th and 6th?
Ok I'm back. The 30th gives you a 300RPM gain.I can easily do a wheely in frist and coupled with my Cycle Shack muffler pipes and big sucker and metz 190/50 tires the bike pulls hard. The best thing is I can now use my 6th gear at 60 and still have plenty of pulling power. Cruses at70-80 in the good power band too.Remaining stock, performance wise best mod you can do after AC/ exhaust, and EFI fule managment, there are some concerns with somerunning a hard drive system without a comp. John
That sounds like your bike runs very strong with this 30Tgearing. A Big Radius 2:1, A/C and some fuel management might be what I'll do while I save and figure out a 103 build.
