Progressive 812 HD Shocks Question
Hi All,
I have just purchased a Progressive 812 HD shock absorbers for my 2008 model Street Bob.
Following the enclosed instruction (and HD service manual), I have removed the factory shock absorbers.
I have than attempted to install both shock absorbers by utilising the enclosed Hex bolts for the top mount and original HD bolts for the lower mount.
However the top mount bolts enclosed are not suitable as they do not allow shock absorber to maintain the same angle between top mount and the swingarm. Nevertheless, utilising original HD bolt, the shocks fits without any problem.
My question to you is whether I should be utilising the original HD mounting hardware (including the top mount bolts) or am I doing something wrong?
Looks like all I needed to do is to swap the factory shocks for Progressive's while retaining all the original mounting hardware. If any of you guys done this lately, could you please let me know if you used any of the supplied nuts/bolts.etc
Cheers
Vlad
