I am looking for some new brake rotors, but I cant find any that will replace the stock floating rotor on the front of my Bob. All of the Harley rotors are listed as fitting up to '05. Is the size physically different on ours? It seems all of the other models are interchangeable. Will a Harley Floating rotor for an '05 work on an '06. This is what I have in mind. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
Or will these work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MESH-...QQcmdZViewItem
Other than aftermarket I think the only thing to do is get a stock one polished. I am waiting for oneto come back that I ordered through Montgomery County HD.
I have an 06 FXD which came originally with mags rims. I got a good deal on some spokes from an 07 Bob,but needed a front rotor. I asked around and didn't get a definitive answer, so I took a chance and purchased a 44156-00 from the dealer. I believe it is listed to fit all 00 - 07 twin cams, except Dynas. It fit fine and has been in use on my bike for about four months now. Find an aftermarket rotor to replace that part number and you should be fine.
I thought that rotors would fit from the other models from my year. HD probably says it wont because the other models weren't floaters. I am just going to get a polished aftermarket non floater. Once the wheel is removed, are they pretty easy to install?
