I was flipping through the Feb 2008 issue of American Rider last night. On page 12, there is a pic of a guy who put a 16 inch Heritage rim on the front hub of his '95 Wide Glide and put a big fatty tire on it. Looks cool! He claims it handles fine and that he did the mod years ago before the Fat Bob came out.
Not that I'd do that to my FXDC, but hey - it looks good on HIS bike.

There's a used softail custom at the dealer here with a Fatboy front tire, wheel, and fender. I was pretty cool for a change of pace, but I still like the skinny tire with the wide forks, too.
