Just bought a black Fat Bob and wondering if I got a good deal. Live in St Louis and paid $15,100 out the door. No set up charges. Sales tax in MO is paid at the license bureau, not at the dealer. Bikes are moving slow here--very slow. No pix yet. Like the way this bike feels. Rode it at Sturgis. I think this model has the potential to be a real classic and have cult-like following, IMHO.
$15,100 - no alarm? vivid black? If so, that's list plus freight. Still a good deal on a new model.
I've been shopping around in the NE OH/ NW PA area. Best deal so far is Hale's in Mansfield. List (whatever color and/or options), no freight, no setup, 20% off parts, and they'll knock a few hours off the labor to install them.
I paid 15,900 total for denim black with security back in mid sept and was(and still)happy with the price. I wanted to get a few thousand miles on before winter, instead of saving a few $$$.
Congrats on the Fat Bob purchase. I too just purchased a Vivid Black Fat Bob last night from Capital City Harley Davidson (Madison, WI) and got what I consider a GREAT deal. $14,795 Fat Bob + $400 Dealer Set-up + $300 Freight = $15,495. Now the good part; Capital City H-D is offering a $2,000 in-store credit and they agreed to apply this towards the purchase price of the bike so the total price (minus tax, title, tag) was only $13,495. This is my first ever Harley and I can't wait for Spring!
The bike was the cheap part - it's the accessories that are adding up. lol
aint it the truth. With taxPaid 14.5 for my SB. The stealer had already had foward controls on it. Gave me a derby cover and a tee. (what a nice guy)
Have to have put in close to 4 grand since I have it. And its not over yet.
