powdercoat?
I just posted the link for that Bob from Japan and now the ideas are flowing. Already have quite abit of gloss black powdercoat on my bike, but I was wondering, if you get parts that are factory wrinkle black powdercoated gloss black, will the powdercoater be able to make it a smooth finish? The parts that I am thinking of are the dash, outer primary, side trans, and cam covers.

yes sir! not a problem... the wrinkle black is not the metal it is the factory paint... it is done by media blasting... just like any other prep work for p coating

I can't comment on what other powder coaters would do, but we strip all parts to bare metal and start over.We couldn't possibly warrenty our work if we just put it over another shop's not knowing for sure what prep work [or lack there of] that was done the first time. If the original coating failed and started to peel or chip, our finish would come off with it.
