Happy Harley Days!!
I just looked in the 06 parts manual. The 40923-06 is the correct axle number for a 06 Dyna Wide Glide and is a one inch axle.
Thanks, Yea that is what I could do if I had it. I only have the part number NOT the Physical part.
Cheers.........
I am sorry I do not own a 06 to measure mine to be accurate. I wish I could help you out. THe 40923-06 (06 part means it was only made for the 06 amd maybe later models). I have a 05. Sorry
I'm curious- are the '07 and '08 Dynas also 1" axles? I read the Fat Bob is 25mm, so fitting lower legs on an '06 Street Bob in order to add dual front brakes would require some milling of the lowers. Jay
Looking into a 21" laced profile wheel mod this winter and have a good deal on a 21" off of a 2005 night train. Looks like that won't work unless I replace the bearings with 1". Thanks for the info on the Axle jmpancoast.
jmpancoast, Wow that is a option. heck of a lot More cost effective and much less hassle. Be sure to post some pics when you get er done. Your scoot is already top so that should just finish it off.
I saw from your profile that you have a 06 FXDL. The train hub won't fit in your current forks. In order to use that wheel, you would have to change bearings and triple trees.
I bought the rim for $100.00, the spokes for $35.00, the tire, tube and rim strip will be about $100.00, and probably around $150.00 for lacing and getting it trued.
