Default Going with 16's...

Just got my '02 SuperGlide last week.
Stick on emblems, reflectors and signals are off...have been shopping for forward controls and a new seat.
After just a few minutes on the forum here, have decided to look into modifying the intake and buying a tank lift.

I want to run 16 inch apes on the bike. Seems like a lot of you here have added apes, just wanted to get tips and opinions from members here. Going from stock, what length throttle, clutch, and brake lines will I need and what is the best way to tackle extending the electrical wires? There are wiring extension kits in J+P. Anyone know if they are worth it?
I did apes on my Sportster but longer mechanical lines were already on the bike when I bought it.
I did apes on my V-Star also but only had to extend the brake line and electricals, was able to reroute everything else.

When removing the front signals, I noticed that the electricals are run in the frame. Is there any quick disconnect point and if so, where?

Many thanks in advance.

I did 16" apes, had to go 8" over on everything for my street bob ( i think others have done 6" over, search i though) I also had a wiring harness that extended things a bit. ordered everything from the stealer but should have gone through the web for better pricing. that's all i got for you though, hope thats enough

i went with 14's. i think they fit the bike better. the install isnt that bad, about a 4-6 hr job for bars, cables and internal wiring. if you need any help or tip just p.m. me or just ask the forum. jackyl
