I had a Yamaha YZ125 in high school. Does that count? I still would love to get another dirt bike but I just wouldn't have the time to ride it. I have tossed around the dual sport bike idea. Something to ride to work in crappy weather and occasionally hit some trails.

I had a Yamaha Seca II, then a Sportster, now a Super Glide. Quite a progression. I loved the Seca II. I was actually going to trade it in on another sport bike, but I've wanted a Harley since I was 14 and the second I rode one I was hooked. If I had the finances I would buy a crotch rocket as a second bike in a heartbeat. They make great toys!

Jezzzzzzz........I don't think I could remember them all.....
Way back in the late sixties Kaw made very fast 2 stroke triples.....I had a 500 ..
Old 305 Honda before that.......
In 1971 had the first oil in the frame Bonneville.....
Then a 750 water cooled 2 stroke Suzuki.......
Then back to Kaw for a 800 classic.....
Then bought a 2000 Kaw Nomad to fool around with .....played with that for a few years changing it to the point when the Kaw dealers would ask."What the hell did you do to it".....LOL
I kept it......not as much power as my Dyna but it shifts like butter and loves the wide open roads.....
Took it to most Bike rallies like Laconia and a huge one a few years back in Ronoke VA....
I'll keep it until it falls apart.....
It's all good just as long as your OUT there...and at 55 I wanna be out there alllllll I can....LOL

Honda trail 90, 1st bike. Great in the mountains, it had the old overlay sprocket and added chain links.
Honda 305 Super Hawk, oversize rear sprocket, pulled the damndest hole shots.
Trumpet Bonneville, built from basket, wonderful torque, very versatile, ran well over 100 with ease if you didn’t mind going back and finding your parts, made HD vibration seem like riding on air, loved that bike.
Moto Guzzi 750, strait pipes, unbelievable cornering, had nothing left of bottom side or the foot pegs.
Honda 750, ok bike, not one of my favs, was versatile in town.
1000 sportster, ran the hell out of it till the frame broke in two places, sold as basket, good bike sans frame issue.
AMF FXWG 1340, ran good, cruise all day w me an the ole lady at 90 and 100 w all our camping gear on board, loved it, but top ends only lasted 25 or 30 grand at best, and another one that just lost parts all down the hwy.
FXRP w engine work and more go than I ever needed, never topped it out, I think around 140 or so and I shut it down.
FLT convinced me I didn’t belong on a Bagger.
FXDF Dyna Fat Bob- By far the best so far, close tie w the FXRP.
I know that’s more than jap crap, but I was thinking about what bikes I have owned and went ahead n put em all down.

Sure did, but all sports bikes. No Harley look-alikes.

started off on
XT250 xrosser.
Than ZZR250 Kawasaki,
GSX250F Suzuki,
FZR600 Yamaha
ZX6R Kawasaki
ZXR750 Kawasaki
CBR600 Honda
VTR1000 Honda
YZF1000 Yamaha
VTR1000 Honda
YZF-R1 Yamaha
************5 year family break to follow******************
Took friends brand new Nightster with V&H short shots for a ride and fell in love with the Harley.
Now have SB 08 model and can't stop modifying...

Never going back to metrics. Soulless bikes.

Cheers

1st bike was a Beneli 250, then BSA 650, then Suzuki 1000E, now have 04 Heritage and 07 Wide Glide. Love both HD's but the 07 you better hold on.

Been riding mostly "metrics" my whole life we used to call em "rice burners". My bobber is my first Harley and with the exception of a 68 Triumph Bonneville my first non Japaneese motorcycle. And yes I still have a couple hanging around in my garage a 2000 Suzuki SV650
