I have the standard size HDdetachablewindshield on my Low Rider. It is not too tall and is very comfortable on the black top can go for miles. It dosn't look that bad either.
I put a Memphis Fat 17" on my FXD. The speedo makes it stick out a little far but not bad. Got the Fat because I thought it would help block some of the cold air off my hands during the winter. Also, I wear prescription glasses and it helps with that so I can wear my half instead of my full face.
I have a Memphis Slim 15". Works well enough to block 80% of the wind at highway speeds and small enough to almost be invisible at 10'. Quick detach not so easy (need allen wrench) or clean (leaves brackets behind) but I haven't taken it off since I bought it. About $250.00 Very happy.

I've had Memphis Shades on several of my bikes.
There make a quality product in my book,
very helpful folks if you need anything.
Never any problems with the windshields.
I have teh HD super sport. I can just see over the top, and it dont look half bad.
Wind is directed over my melon, but it sure did magnify the updraft turbulence over my chest
I have a Memphis Shades Fats 21" that I had cut locally down by 5" and it works great! Before I had it cut it was fine except I got tired of looking through the glass, and now with the mod I can see over it and still benefit from the wind protection. I now have very little buffeting and the hardware is not very noticable when I have it detached. Memphis is a good company that stands behind it's products.
Sorry but I don't have any pics with the current mods on hand.
