Dang - looks like EP had a run on them and they're sold out - guess I'll have to look around a bit more or wait 'til they get more. Heck, my bobstah ain't goin' anywhere with 15" of snow on the ground, think I can wait.

Oilslick, you did a real nice, clean, professional job.
When I do mine next weekend I'm making mine just a pretty, lol
Thanks Mike. Didn't look professional to start with. It began with burning out a cheap holesaw followed by a series of 1/8" holes and then a file [&:]. Worked out in the end.
The wiring is the same if you use the later type switch.
A - R/BK - Ignition On, Power to all circuits.
B - R - Power supply
C - R/GY -Power to accessories for parking lights.
This for HDI (UK) bikes - not sure if the US Domestic bikes have thethe accessories position.
So anyone who did/does the mod will have 2 keys in their pocket. So what I plan on doing is use my daughters red and green nail polish and put a dab of red on the lock key and a dab of green on the new switch key. (green = go, red = stop/lock)
The original key has "Harley Davidson" in the plastic, the new one doesn't.
...besides you will hardly ever use the new one if you have a security system.
I leave the house with nothing but a key fob in my pocket.
I have my switches wired in series, so only need 1 key, and it stays in the neck in the on position, unless I am go into WallyWorld or something. When I travel overnight I take both keys and lock both switches.
I always get a kick outa having to explain how get the bike started to the HD service guys, when I have a new tire mounted.

I don't mean to sound stupid. Does that mean that you don't need a key to start the bike? Do you just turn to "on" by hand (without a key) and then start the bike without a key?
