Heated clothes question
Just wondering if anyone has tried on and compared heated clothing for the price.
You have a harley vest for 180, gerbins for 110, and a few other brands for various prices.
Harley Gloves are 160 and then you see some for 100
Do the lower priced ones keep you as warm as the high end ones? Are we just paying for a name?
I would like to invest in heated gear but that can be pricey.
Thanks, Dirico
As far as price goes......... HD name on stuff usually makes it pricier, but sometimes I think their stuff is worth the extra.
I think you will find every manufactures gloves work well, the major difference is the type of glove (style, material, etc.)
Check around the web for best deals, once you choose a manufactures product. There are 2 types of plugs on the heated gear, coaxial and SAE. Most the new lines are using coaxial connectors. Widder products are a bit different, I believe.
One manufactures gloves will plug right into anothers jacket, pants, etc.
I suggest a search on the HDforums search engine. Gerbings G3s have been a popular glove. I used Warm Gears heated glove liners for $89, which allows me to chose any glove I want.
For really cold weather I wear a modular fullface on the head with a pullover head thingy.
