Just got my first Harley (used)! It only took my 35 years and a bunch of jap bikes to get here.
Anyway, it's a 2007 Street Bob. There is a flat black plug that resembles that of a trailer hitch 4 pin wiring plug and it's in front of the battery box attached to a cord. Anyone know what this is? I've seen it on a couple other street bob's as well but no one can tell me. It's not a battery tender plug as those are narrower. He did have Stage 1, Rineharts, and a remap done.
Could be an accessory plug. Trace it back, it should be located under the seat. The other Street Bob's that have this plug, where they at the same dealer or where?
Call the previous owner. Most of the bikes I see at the dealer have the plug and it is for a battery tender or electric clothes.
Here's an example :

Did he pull a trailer?[sm=joke.gif]
Seriously, it's not like anything I've seen. But I can't wait to find out what it is for.....................
does it have plug number on it? maybe someonewith a service manual will chime in on this one. looks like it could a plug for a diagnostic reader/scanner or possibly an audible alarm hookup. got me.
Ahha! Took the cap off... The plug has AMP and a 1 below that...hard to see in the fuzzy pic. Look at those connection in the end! Also, it has 5 spots in the plug with the last one plugged by a red something. The guy that owned this didn't do anything special he said, only stock with some pipes, a/c and a remap. What would connect to this thing??
