Default dyna exhaust

Can I make a softail exhaust fit my dyna. I have a chance for a good deal on a set of python pipes but they are off a softail.

I don't think so. The mounts are different. I'm sure with enough fabrication you could make them fit, but thats alot of work when you can get a set made for your bike.

Default RE: dyna exhaust

I have a softail and a Dyna, main difference, whichI didn't realize at first, is that the softail being hard mounted to the frame, the exhaust including individual mufflers can be bolted to the frame also. the dyna however is rubber mounted so the engine can move around (shakes violently) independant of the frame so...the exhaust and mufflers cannot touch the frame, but must be very securely mounted to the engine so as to withstand the violent shaking. However a softail intended slip on may be able to be used on a Dyna with the dyna clamps as they are entirely supported by the header anyway. But a softail headerwill have totaly different mounting brackets.
