How cold is too cold?

Honestly though, The heated gloves are worth every cent. With those and a good jacket with a hoodie undernieth, chaps I stayed pretty warm and cozy. The vest just make it real cozy and I aint gotta wear the hoodie
It was 16* this morning so I doubled up the gloves.
The rest of me is usually fine, it's just my fingertips that get cold.

1 dress warm...
2 try out heated gloves, vests, grips, seats etc....
3 pick days when the roads are mostly clear not loaded with ice, salt, and other dangers.
4 remember that cold is cold however cold conditions are another story! as above.
Part of my training military wise involved extreme conditions at cold temperatures... I (the guy from florida) can easily handle anything you think you can dish out.
Don't assume that because I, or Arizona, currently live in warmer climates that we have not been exposed to cold!
Also we are exposed to RUB's wining about 50 deg. being too cold to ride from many of our warm climate bretheren so to those folks grow a set... Hell, I don't need gloves or a hat till it get's in the low 40's.
I rode this morning 28 Deg... It was Cold !!! but good to get out... no salt or sand on the streets yet..
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
its gets pretty damn cold in IOWA
I set a new personal crazy record this morning ....... 12 degrees on the 12.5 mile ride to work. The thumb on my throttle hand was a bit numb till I got there, but other than that..........and those that've read some of my previous posts may remember ...... no windshield and no heated gear.

Fun ... huh?!!
Cool thing is once you've embarked on something you thought was gonna be too extreme, those old PR and cold days seem like nothing!
