Here's my bit if it helps at all!
I have a 2003 WG and a hydraulic Sealy motorcycle/ATV lift.
The lift slides straight under the sump - no probs., then I've got the 'Dyna Lift Kit' from Harley which consists of rubber blocks that fit on the frame and sit on the lifter pads. (as you know Dyna sump hangs below frame!) When it's on the lift, it's really stable - tried to send a bit of a pic!
I think it cost around £110.00 over here, but we get ripped off for everything 'motorcycle'!!
Hope this helps,
Ian
Whatever you do, don't do like I did this past summer and buy one of those "Red" jacks.
Apparently the color means alot more than ratings to a bunch of people on this site. ( I may just have to throw my jack out when my bike comes off it this spring)
Anyway, the Pep Boys "Cheap Red" jack measures 4 - 3/4 inches lowered and is cheaper in price than what you are looking at.
If I lived in an appartment, I might think about a product such as a stepjack. I used to live on the 3rd floor of an apartment building, and my car jack got kinda heavy running up and down steps. It was not a pleasure working on stuff.
Just remember, whatever you buy, make sure it's not "Red".
and i measured the bob and I was right at 5 , I dont want to spend 300 for harleys lift
since all I want it for is just those few inches....mainly to get either front or rear wheel off the ground.....wouldnt really have any purpose to get two off the ground.....
maybe when I get older might need a taller lift so that wouldnt have to get on ground....
