Apparently the color means alot more than ratings to a bunch of people on this site.

************************************************

Just remember, whatever you buy, make sure it's not "Red".
I do believe that most of the folks mentioning the color
are simply using that as a way to quickly identify the product.

Which one is the Cadillac?? the yellow.

Which one is the VW?? the red.

Which one is theRolls?? the JandS

mud

Yeah, I know, kind of a carry over from another humerous lift thread.
But to tell the truth, the VW model works just fine for me.
I find other places to spend any extra cash I come across. (What's extra cash?)
I'm actually happy with the red oneI have. Under $30 total after rebate, Pep Boys.

I bought a jack from a company named Northern Hydraulics, I like it because you can adjust the width.

Dynagog07,

Mud was correct (as always. you can count on Mud's information) the Sears yellow is advertised as 3.5 " (lower level). I just received my Craftsman Club sales paper (sale January 6-12) and the yellow Low Profile lightweight aluminum is advertised for 139.99.

Dynabob07,

Sorry I fat fingered the name on my previous post, that's what happens when you get old and blind. I plan to purchase one of the Yellow Jacks as soon as the sale starts (January 6-12) MONDO

MONDO, that's a pretty good price for the liteweight.
A real decent piece of equipment.

When I bought mine, I went into the store,
and set the red one side by side with the yellow one.

The difference in quality, andfeatures, is readily obvious.
The cost, obviously, is more. But worth it to me.

The red one works well, according to many testimonials,
right here at HDF Dyna.

When I grow up, I wanna JandS.

I try to keep my info right on the money,
always double check though.

Can't get a hold of the stepjack guy. Looks like his web page is down. Anyone know his email address. I'd like to know the cost of the jack?
