The tripletree on my Dyna has what looks like just water spots, but I couldn't get them off. I tried Mother's Chrome Cleaner. No luck.
Anyway, today I tried some Heavy Cut rubbing compound on one small area. It got rid of them, but that stuff is a little more abrasive than I would like to use. Other chrome, like my headlight visor, pipes, fork brace etc. are fine. Its just those brackets at the top of my forks.
Just picked some up at the easy riders bike show in Pomona. It is awesome. My trees had a "hazy" look no matter what I tried. Now they look great. It workes on everything. Jewlery, nicknacks...ect. I also got the sealer gloss. Great product. Have not looked on line yet, but you should be able to find it.
I think the stuff I use is called Never Dull. (I'm at work right now) My brother-in-law said they used to use it in the Air Force.
Works great on chrome! You will need to wax after using it.
