How does the solid wheel effect the ride on the blacktop with wind? Do you get the same issues as the Fat Boy's of a sailing effect from the wind hitting the wheel.
hey vicsponjrgo get a burger at charlies and a chillie cheese dog at last stand for me hahaha.
we take a ride there all the time in the summer.
btw: get the duce wheel, it will look great. my buddy from a&m is going to get it for his wideglide.
I've ha a Charlie hamburger before, mighty tasty. Never been to last stand for a doggie though. I swear by Texas Wieners in South Philly. Can never get enough of them. Got a couple in the fridge right now
Well, mine's an '05 and I went with a Sportster 1200 Custom wheel in the back. EXACT spacing as the stock wheel. It's comes from the factory chromed, and I got a great deal on eBay for it with a new tire on it as well! I just had to swap the tire on the rim 180 degrees, since Sportsters are right hand drive. exact same tire as well! My sig pic is the BEST pic I have of it, but I much prefer it to the spokes in the rear, for cleaning if nothing else.....Go it with only 400 miles on the wheel, but went ahead and put new bearings in it while it was apart...why cut corners?[&:]
eventually, when I find the right front wheel, I will go to a mag in the front as well......I like tubeless setups, but love the spoked 21" in the front, so who knows....[&:]
Will a sportster, fatboy or deuce solid rear wheel fit on my WG with no modifications?
I'm dying for a solid wheel but want something that bolts right up.
What should I look for?
as we speak, iam putting a chrome rear duece rim on the back of my 06 streetb0b.the only thing needed is the rear wheel bearing installation kit to install it, so it will accept the 1 inch rear axle. i will post pics in a couple hours when i finish. jackyl
If you get the later Deuce wheel it's a straight swap. Mine was from an earlier ž" axle bike so the centre needed to be bored 1.275" to take the bearing sleeve. Apart from that, it was a breeze.
