JakeinIraq, that 180 looks great. Everytime I see it I lean more and more to it. Did you change the front and rear at the same time? I mean, was it the 180 rear that makes a bigger difference in ride, the better performing front or the combination of both front and rear upgrades? and also...are those still the stock shocks?
Ofthose two pictures I like the set up you have now better. There's something akward looking about the pic with the apes.Maybe some apes that aren't so wide would look better. Those look like they belong on a Road King or something.

Kev, I did change both wheels out at the same time, and the shocks are stock. However, I ordered a pair of Progressive 812's in the "Double-Cut" to keep with the flow and cut of the pipes. They're being installed while I'm playing in the sand. As far as the handling goes, I think it improved when I took the reflectors off the forks and rear fener...lol
I reckon if we were all lookin' at Jakes scoot with apesfor the veryfirst time we would be pretty impressed with the look, but because the low profile of the bike is so familiar to us all itlooks a littleodd. Good luck with finding something suitable to spend your hard earned on...maybe a new project???

New project? Nooooooo...the Mrs. would kill me! Once this last set of mods is complete, I'll be just about done I think. Nothing but riding and maintenance after that....I hope.
I'm going to go with a set of bars that are similar to what I have on it; I just want to hide the wiring internally. I had the "Apes" photoshopped on it before I decided what to do. It just didn't look right to me.
