I like it, they look really good and flow nicely with your tank lift. You been thinking of lowering the bike at all?
Unfortunately, lowering is not for me. You may be noticing how much my rear fender sits up over the wheel. Well, that's because I can't take a pic and be on the bike at the same time. It lowers just fine with my big *** on it. I'm 6'4" and weigh about 240 so it sits just right for me when I'm on it.
And, Baeseman1, no she hasn't noticed yet but she hasn't seen the bike yet. She'll definitely notice these. She and I went on a short run Sunday. First time she's been on the bike since the MB fall rally. She actually looked it over and noticed a few changes. But, she stared right at the headlight several times and never said a word. I would think that would have been the first thing she'd notice. She showed how clueless she is about it though. She was pointing to things that are stock, like the HD logos on the brake calipers, and thought I had added them.

ROFLMAO!!! Alright tough guy, walk her out to the garage and show her...something tells me she'll show you whose clueless! LOL!!!
I have to say, I've been honest about everything I've done to my bike with my wife. I figure she's sacrificed as much as I have by me being here, she might as well know what we spent a ton of $ on.

LOL, I'm definitely going to show her. She'll probably actually be pleased since I sold my slipons for more than I paid for them and that helped buy these. It's just sort of a game I like to play with some stuff though to see if and what she'll notice and what she won't. I can't get over her not noticing the headlight. She did say this to me the other day though - "you should have to give me the same amount of cash as what you've spent on extra stuff for this bike". HA! And I'm having a crew over here next week to tile an entire garden tub and kitchen backsplash. I'd like to have that money to spend on my bike. The bike stays in my shop and she rarely goes in there and almost never goes in there without me. She doesn't see the bike enough and is unfamiliar enough with stock bikes to know what was already there and what was added. I sort of take that as a compliment since a lot of things apparently don't look "out of place" or she would notice it. I'd bet 1000 dollars she'd never in a million years notice the tank lift even if an identical, stock FXDC was sitting right next to it. She's actually the same way with cars. She doesn't notice things that, to me, make or break the look of a nice car - like rims, tires, trim, etc.
I have to laugh because I used to think my wife wasn't that observant. Then, one day I had bought a new rifle and managed to get it into the safe when she wasn't around. A couple of weeks went by and I took the new rifle out, amongst some of my others, and she said to me, "where'd you get that new rifle". I think I just stood there in shock and disbelief and couldn't speak. LOL
I don't think many would notice the tank lift either. I think that unless you've been around Harleys and know how they come stock and after visiting here to see what guys are doing to their bikes, many people would be clueless. But, it is fun, isn't it?
