I have to laugh because I used to think my wife wasn't that observant. Then, one day I had bought a new rifle and managed to get it into the safe when she wasn't around. A couple of weeks went by and I took the new rifle out, amongst some of my others, and she said to me, "where'd you get that new rifle". I think I just stood there in shock and disbelief and couldn't speak. LOL
I don't think many would notice the tank lift either. I think that unless you've been around Harleys and know how they come stock and after visiting here to see what guys are doing to their bikes, many people would be clueless. But, it is fun, isn't it?
Yep, it's fun because she doesn't get mad, she just rolls her eyes and asks when enough is enough. She saidSunday she was almost afraid to ride it anymore because I have changed so much stuff it's bound to fall apart going down the road. I get no credit for my wrenching skills around her based on past history - LOL.
That's actually why I like the tank lift. People can tell something is different but aren't quite sure what. I like the look and the fact that I can clean the top of my rocker covers now. And it also puts the speedo at a much easier to read angle - especially when I'm wearing that God-awful full face helmet.
OK GUYS I VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THE TANK LIFT BUT IVE NEVER SEEN EM IN PERSON...SO DO YOU GUYS THINK THE PICTURES DO THE JUSTICE OR DO THEY LOOK BETTER IN PERSON?

Depends on the photographer I guess. I suck at photography as is evidenced by some pix I've posted here. My pix don't do my entire bike justice in my opinion. I was on the fence about it but, for $25 plus shipping I decided to try it. I really like it and haven't heard anyone that has it say they don't. The nice thing is it goes on in 10 minutes or so and comes off just as quick if you don't like it or want a change.
I think the tank lift looks great on some bikes, but I don't think it would look good on mine. It is a subtle change, but one who is looking could see.
