You were a little luckier than me. My recent accident was in the middle of nowhere, took 35 min for the EMT to get to me. Lots of people stopped to help, state cop was there quick. Fortunately an ex EMT lady was right there and kept me cool and as comfortable as one can be with a shattered ankle. The teen girl driver was freaked but I was able to get here to lift the front wheel off my good leg and call 911.
Not a happy time, but folks out here in E. Texas don't pass up someone in need, thankfully!

glad to see you made it away without any scratches. I know what it is like, I have been in 2 accidents and some how walked away. One was the same thing an old guy just cut me off and it was me or the bike. So the bike went first and I just slid. Luckily was wearing my helmet, if not I would have probably had one hell of a dent in my head. Puta nice ding in the old crome protecter.

First, I'm glad to hear that you are relatively "no worse for the wear", Doug. That IS the most important part!! Hopefully the 'kid' learned a very important lesson, one he'll not soon forget. And Dad sounds like a good one. Goes to show you never know when life can go sideways. You appear to have handled yourself quite well not clocking him(letting cooler heads prevail). Sounds like you may of made a couple new friends, but I wouldn't suggest it again. And you may want to see about getting a commision check for the bike Andrew is going to buy.

Ihad just moved it to my inspection sticker plate, just below the point of impact. I Moved it just before I left to meet my demise.
Unfortunately, I didn't get the leg out of the way, but I am mean, tough and taking lots of Ibuprofen.
They wanted to take me to the hospital, but being the crazy coot I am, was afraid of the "floor" they might put me on.[sm=yeahsmile.gif][sm=yeahsmile.gif]
I am part Irish, and after much thought about the accident, realize I am a very, verylucky man.
