exhaust question....

I figure if anything I could make my own baffle and fit in the Thunder Monster somewhere in there if there is no room at the end of the head pipes. I like the style of the pipes on the Fat Bob and dont really want to change them. The Big City Thunder option sounds like an inexpensive way to improve sound and performance.
I took out my baffles a couple of weekends ago. It sounded good but didnt want to run it like that long term. So, I pulled out the packing and stuck the baffles back in. Still sounds a little better, but I think I lost some low end. Seems like it winds up more before I hit the power band. How does yours run with the baffles?
BTW, I think I saw you at Cajun HD on Friday. I had emailed you a couple of weeks ago about having a Fat Bob. And, I was probably the guy you saw riding the FB by the police station. I go by there a lot. (Not to see the police though...lol)
now back to the issue, i have taken the baffles out and i have not re-installed them yet....im still trying to decide what to do....i will check out the thunder city baffles website and give them a call...i appreciate the help...
oh and also, where is the packing? i took the baffle out of the lower muffler and i didnt see any packing.. i will check the top one tomorrow....
for now im off to the rodeo...theres nothing like cowgirls....lol ....

I think they look great, and w 2 or 2.25 baffles they should be plenty loud, but I keep scraping the stock pipes on corners and couldnt see doing that to new pipes, so I went with the V&H Short Shots Black.

Look at Trotters sig, great looking pipes, I ordered the quite baffles with them. Im probly gonna go PCIII and Big sucker from FM next, or the other option is a after market sert and dyno for $500 and buy the A/C local. I know that a lot o bucks for hard times, (I really know) but its a lot cheaper than going w HD. PCII pipes and A/C about $750, HD version from my dealer, about $2500, guess which way Im leaning?
