Default powdercoating

I want to remove and powdercoat the cam cover, outer primary, and thetransmission cover all gloss black as well as a couple other pieces. my question is any tips? I know when I eventually remove this stuff there is going to be a bunch of oil drainage (right?) Should I just stock up on new oils and gaskets? anything else?

You will need transmission and primary fluids for sure. Not sure how much oil would come out the cam cover since I have never taken one off, but I doubt much would come out. They recomend replaceing gaskets when those covers are removed.

you'll need oil for the primary. you'll lose an ounce or less from the transmission side cover and about the same from the cam cover.

thanks kurtlange, that's good info, i was expecting everything to drain out. That puts things into a little better perspective.

elginator, for sure I will post pics. I just need time to tear down and get things out. I want to go for the japanese street bob look that has been floating around, just with my twist
