if by hen-pecked, you mean P-whipped, i'm not. my wife encourages it. she's working on getting her own right now. i can't afford two and wouldn't make much sense.
Once the bagger bug bites it's all over but the buyin'.
Yes, I'm the buddy with the SG. /evilgrin
I was perfectly happy riding my hot rodded Vulcan 2000 (ignorance is bliss, after all =) when he started in on me about his Bob and the two "managers specials" sitting over at his dealers shop last Spring.
It's up to you man. I judge no one by what they ride, but if I were in your boat and thinking about a bagger, I think the Street Glide would be it.
I was at the dealer this afternoon and after I got done drooling over the NiteTrain, I turned around right smack into a SG. Nice looking ride, but I am nowhere near ready to make that move yet. Still, I can appreciate a nice scoot when I see one.
I know the feeling about not being able to afford two scoots. If I could, that train would be in my garage already.
I know some of you have experienced that strange sensation of looking at a model in another family and thought about how easy it would be to pull into the local stealer and just trade them out.
I've had my bob for about a year now and i love it. I absolutely adore it. I came from a metric and riding had lost it's fun until i picked up the bob. Now i eagerly watch the weather each morning hoping for good weather so i can hear that roar and enjoy the open road.
But i've got a buddy who's been on a Street Glide for the last 3/4 of a year and he's started to slowly and quietly pull me towards the dark side. I've never been a bagger kind of guy, but it's really started to grow on me.
Oh the agony!
Oh the pain!
What to do, what to do...
I know i'm asking a loaded question in this forum, but anyone with a SG as well as their Dyna and have any opinions? Ride, comfort, handling, overall appeal...
