I'd say NY roads are worse. I do most of my riding in PA just because the roads are better.
Either way I only got about 5k outta my tire. Prolly coulda got a few more but I was going on a trip and wanted freash rubber.

2nd that Jay and Doug. Used to make the run from Va Bch to Cleveland a dozen or more times a year and the PA roads are/were total sh*t. Especially the 'pike from Breezewood to Pittsburgh. At least now they have some of the construction done, but the roads sure are still crappy.
thats interesting, i never considered road type and tire wear as we dont have a lot of tar and chip roads (atleast that i know of in california). that kind of sucks.
