I will explain to you what happened to me and somewhat to Metal Mike. I thoguht the same as you, great guy, great customer service and so on, but here is a quick story of what I went through.
I installed the plate on my bike and after a couple of weeks me and some buddies went on a 140 mile trip. on the return home trip, on the highway I heard a metal on asphalt sound. I looked in my mirror and seen my plate bouncing across the highway, missing cars by inches. I pulled over and thanked God that I was in the back of the pack of buddies riding. It broke at what Dreamweavers calls a "weld". Well I called the guy back, talked to him about it and he gave me some BS story (by the way same story he gave Mike) about a contractor who welded bad (there was no penitration on the weld, I have pics if you want). He agreed to send me a new one. So I put this new one that he said he welded on and guess what, after a few weeks I was sitting at a buddies (one of the same ones I was riding with the first time) and just before we took off on a ride I thought maybe I just check the plate and thank God (again) I did. It basically fell off into my hand!
Talk about being pissed! I called the arsehole back at Dreamweavers and told him what happened (again) and he this time told me to bad. So I told him what I thought about him, and guess what, he changed his name info on ebay because of the neg. press. So, if you own one, PLEASE check it! Right where the actual plate is "welded" to the plate that bolts to the axle. I do not want to hear about someone getting hurt or worse from a flying POS dreamweavers product!
Spend the money and get bareknuckle or kevins!!!!
