I'm still learning the ins n outs of EFI, my HD dealer is just now installing a dyno and will have it up n running in a week or two. My question: If they didnt have a dyno before now, how did they turn out a whole load of brand new bikes with a/c, pipes and race tuner?
My son was interested in trading, (possibly) his in for a newer model and rode it today, said it had no ***** at all, good looking, nice set of V & H pipes, backfired a lot. I mentioned to them about the backfiring, "they all do that till they warm up". WTF
PCIII is the way I'm going with Fuel Moto, after I run it awhile, if all seems well, I will stick it on their dyno for a test read (3 shots) for about $75.
Everything I have heard about Fuel Moto is they hit the nail on the head way more times than not, I dont think it sounds like HD and their Race Tuner can say the same unless you get some one thats good w the dyno, and are willing to put out about $800 big uns to get the tuner and dyno done.
I will stand corrected if mine does not fullfill my expectations, but I am real leary of the whole HD RT and techs that dont know how to use the equip correctly.
Now if I lived close to a competent Tuner, like I hear Trotter is, I may re-think, but I have not heard one person from this area whoop n holler about the great tune they got, maybe I just missed it?
Now mine was backfiring, but thats because I had the stock slip ons off 5 times, I cranked down hard this weekend and it stopped, but before they come on/off again I will get new clamps.

Trotter they told me the put a "fat map" in it. I believe that to help in not damaging the engine before dyno. I will dyno in the next week.If I get in to a tunner. The Dallas area have a few good tunners at the Grand Prairie Dealership. Anybody heard diffrent. I would love to know.
For what its worth, I know a guy got a new shiny dresser, (not sure which model) from Longhorn, its a be-a-utifull machine, all the trimmings.
Wont go over 100, pops n backfires all the time, I suggested he take it back but havent seen him in a couple weeks so dont know, but IF thats indicative of what they put out I would be very picky on what n how they tuned me. Might 'o been a fluke but...

Arnold any info on a area tunner is good. I will see if some indy in the area knows what they are doing. I know the guys in Carrollton are just getting theirs up and running so I amnot going to be the first to try them out.

This is now the Sert post. If the dealer is putting tunner's in for no reason then we do have a problem. If you put pipes and AC on a FI bike what in the everloving name do we need to have? The dealer is telling us we need this item not to damage the engine. Then if we don't dyno its useless. I am just going to dyno tune this thing and see what happens.
+1 I already emailed the dealer for an appointment. Feel like I'm breaking the DaVinci code.
There ya go! You'll be a happy camper now!

The stock baffles are straight through with the sides lanced and the quiet baffles have an end in them that goes in first toward engine. The whole baffle is drill with about 5/16 holes and 2/3s is covered with fiberglass cloth. I found out the hard way that to install the quiet baffles you have to take the pipes back off the bike to access the screw that holds them in by removing the heat shields. Hope this helps. No photo.
