i have an 07 wide glide would love to make my dash look more flush to the tank with out changing the dash. any ideas would be greatly apreciated. thinking maybe take a dremmel tool and cut it down a couple of inches
The dash is that tall to provide clearance for the instruments, so unless you have the skills to built the recessesin the tank or want to lose your speedo, you are stuck with the raised dash.
Ever thought of using the 04 superglide consule - replace the fuel cap with the speedo and the fuel guage with the ignition switch - Don't know if its possible but it is one of the things I was going to look into for next winter .

Just a thought ........
Don't know about the fuel cap and the speedo, but I am currently working on your ignition switch in the gauge hole idea. The switch is a little less that a 1/4 inch smaller than the hole in the SG console. It is a little bigger than the trim ring I.D. on the fuel gauge. I just purchased a chrome fuel gauge trim ring with the idea of trimming the inside edge to fit the ignition switch.
If I can get it to work, the fuel gauge is a goner.
Jmpancoast....I've had the same thought running through my mind also, be sure to keep a record of the process so you can post a how-to for the rest of us.
