Hello All,
Thanks for the warm welcome, and now I have to rub against the knowledge tree. I have this question;
1. Can I place 6" straight risers w/Drag barson my 08 without wiring or cable conflicts?(will they reach)
2. If it will fit does anyone have the Dimensions for standard Drags I can use.
I put 6" risers under the stock bars on my 08 FXD. The only thing I had to do was loosen the front brake hose clamp and move the hose a little to relieve the stress.
Someone else will have to chime in with dimensions. My shoulders wont let me do drag bars.
I put wild 1 501's. They have built in 8 inch rise and I think they are about 32 inches end to end. Used all stock cables and wiring. Did have to bend the brake line slightly and very carefully. You can go to wild 1 site and get width. Smiley
I had problems with the wiring for the speedo with 6" risers...it was TIGHT. I went with 3" rise drag Z bars on stock risers....the speedo fit nicly into that space.......I love Z bars though, alot of people don't.
I ran across a riser set up for the XL Custom. Would that work, and if it will any pics?I like the way it hides thewires and would reposition the speedo. Keep it out of my face!
