This might be a dumb question but I keep getting different answers. I need to know ifafterI install my Screaming Eagle air cleaner on my 2006 FXDCIif I can just ride with the setting for the injection the way it came from the factory? Or should I buy a PCIII,V&H Fuel Pak,or have the stealer set it up (the last one is what the stealer recommendsgo figure). The only other thing Ive done is put a set of Screaming Eagle Slipon Pipes the older ones not the new $hitty SCIIs.Thanks for any help anyone can help me with.
If you open up the a/c and exhaust, as you're talking about, you'll need some type of fuel management. The download from the dealer would not be my choice, no flexibility.
I took the lower cost road and had the download from the dealer. I am very satisfied with the results. I don't plan to do anyimprovements to the motor.
The dealer will probably want to charge you $150 - $200 for the download. For alittle more than that, you can go with an add-on F.I. tuner which allows you flexibilty for future mods.
You definitely need to do something to richen up the fuel.
I got my PCIII for 225 from an e-bay store. Better than the dealer download. Just because at this time you don't think you want to do more mods to the motor doesn't mean it will stay that way. One thing you can always count on is wanting MORE POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the advice I think I'll go with someting other then the dealer setup
just in case I make any other upgrades Ill have the ability to do so without
having to pay $150-$200 each time at the dealer. Thanks again.
