cross bones
This thread really illustrates why we customize our rides: some people like one thing while others like something else. To each his/her own I say. I grew up loving choppers, which have skinny front wheels. Always loved the look, especially on the Wide Glide, which is why I own one. These, to me, are bobbers, which is what I thought the look the Crossbones was built to emulate:

and it works with a fatter front tire also:

I just like the skinny ones...
but it's all good - we like what we like.

Buying a bike and changing things to make it "ours" is what it's all about. By this time next year my crossbones will be sporting a full FL style rear fender and a set of Road King Classic bags, True Duals with fishtales. I haven't decided on the front of the bike yet. It may wind up with beach bars. I may add a set of spotlights. The bars and spots will get powder coated if I go that route. And I may go with the full front fender. But a bagger springer for sure. But you can count on one thing.....I'll do the work myself. Unlike a lot of guys who buy it, drop it off some place and pick it up six months later. I spend a lot of time on the road and want a little something different. More old school than a say Road king. But with a lot of the same atributes. It wont be sporting tons of chrome. And will not have any billet parts.
