Default tranny fluid plug...

outside of my previous rant about my dealership experience, does anyone know what size allen head that plug takes... it looks like it should be a 3/8, but you never know now... also looks like it could be a 10mm ....

i just don't have either size.... anyone know what size it is?....i'd call the dealer, but i'm afraid they wouldn't tell me because it might not involve the purchase of a new motorcycle

thanks, paul

I believe the drain plug is is a 1/4 allen and the fill is 3/8 allen, that's whats on both bikes (02 & 05).

I would suggest purchasing the shop manual.

Just lay a scale across the hex. If the dimension across the flats is 5/8 inch, 3/8 inch or whatever, that is the allen size required........pg
