Rear turn sigs with detachable backrest question...
For those of you with a detachable backrest, what are you using for rear turn signals? My dealership thinks they'll look like **** once they put the detach on and have me thinking of losing the turn signals and going to a Panacea Brake/Turn Signal stop light. Personally, I like the added visibility of the rear turn signals.
RE: Rear turn sigs with detachable backrest question...
Well, the whole backrest thing is for the Mrs. She wants to be able to ride without feeling like she is falling or sliding off. I'm fortunate that she hasn't complained about the seat....yet. I told her that I will not put on a standard two-up type seat, that it will ruin the look of the bike. I spent way too much time and money thinking about how I wanted it to look too. Damn wimmins!

When I first changed mine on the 07 bob i got the more expensive laydown licence kit 80-90$. That is actually a better choice then the 40$ relocation kit.

Guess my bike looks like ****........... I learn something new everyday[sm=bs.gif][sm=lol.gif]
Jake, your bike is really nice looking they way it is. It is going to look different when you add the QD sissybar, with or without the taill lights. I think my tail lights look fine, but the mounting studs look rather odd, when the sissybar is not on. Not that noticeable, though.

May I ask why you want to add the sissybar?

For the Mrs. Don't ya know, they always get what THEY want...lol
Just trying to please her so she and I can do some riding together when I get home. She loves to ride, but doesn't get to often, so when she can I'd like her to be fairly comfortable. Augh!!! I don't want to do this!!!!!!
RE: Rear turn sigs with detachable backrest question...
I did not think that they looked that bad but i wanted to do something diff... so i went with these... had to do it myself... you can get them in chome casings as well.

Jake,
I would suggest going with a touring seat with backest.
Corbin has a couple different ones for the Dynas. Their 2up seats offer adjustable/removeable backrest.
Their Oval Back backrest is very comfortable. If you went this route you wouldn't have to mess with changing you tail lights.
Also, I think the passenger would be more comfortable with the adjustable backrest verses the sissybar.
I use my QD sissybar for hanging luggage and camping gear on it, and it works very well for that purpose.

I went with the laydown license plate and the relocation kit that came with it when i put on the detachable sissy bar and i still cant get that dam sissy bar to stop rattling.
