some of you know... i have been pretty ill, the Dr's can not figure out what is wrong with me, for some reason my body just decided it did not want to keep sending constant blood flow to certain parts of the left part of my brain, and at the same time my thighroid is releasing toxins into my body... enough wah wah... ill be fine...nothing alittle highway and knuckles to the wind cant fix... (i am taking this serious and getting the best medical attention avail... it will be fine) but while i have been down i can not drive on the new meds so i have been stuck in my appt... so i busted out my air brush and have been playing with that for a while... a buddy brought me a plain black guitar and i decided to give it a go... i mixed all my own paints... only had: black (opaque), dark blue (semi-opaque), high silver (kind of like a strong flake), Sun yellow (translucent), and a white hobby bottle deal and a thin paint brush...so i went to work... what do you think!? be honest it is my first real job so be harsh! he does alot of on stage shows so i made a cameleon style paint job that jumps colors like crazy depending on what style light hits it and from what angle... i am big on nautical stars so i kind of got that in there a bit... i found my old air cleaner cover laying around from the bob so that is going under the gun next!

ha ha ha send away! my dad told me he has an old penut tank in his attic from one of his old chopper builds when he was a kid... i am going to send my brother up there to search for it... if i am going to be medicated and be limited on what i am allowed to do i may as well well get good at something! if i get decent you send me your tins next winter and i will do them for you! no cost! you know that!!! I have all the equiptment... my dad used to do some pretty wild paing jobs in the 70s so i still have all his stuff plus i went over to harbor freight and got some guns when they had a sale... i have always wanted a spray booth... but till we can close on a house i am stuck in my appartment with my homemade booth... not the best but it does the trick for just a air brush... i have 2 diff air brushes... one that is a gravity feed real nice for detail work and a bottom pressure feed for bigger spray... learning on both... there are so many ***** and screws on the gravity half the time i can hardly get it to spray at all... but the bottom feed i am getting pretty consistant with... here is a shot of my homemade spray area... nice touch with the camo tarp 1dollar on sale can not beat it!

tonight i played with flames a bit... i had an old flair bottle that bartenders practice with to spin bottles like in cocktail the movie... and my air cleaner... Air cleaner: i layed downa coat of primer, then 3 black, 1 heavy flake, 2 light black, 5 coats clear... have not sanded or buffed yet.... Flair bottle, taped off.... 3 coats black, 1 coat flake, 1 coat drk blue, 1 coat mix drk blue and flake 4:1, 1 coat clear so far.... again not sanded or buffed yet... still learning... i need some pointers!!!.... granted these pics are with lights and flash.... to see a true paint job you need to take it into the sun.... that is why the guitar pics are all by the window...
