I have gutted stock mufflers as I enjoy the sound. I have a USB PCIII and stage 1 intake. I ran it on the dyno this summer and got 73HP and 78TQ. I went to seminar at Topeka HD this last weekend and talked to the tech guys about it's performance. I took their recommendation on the lollipops for this application. I got home and made them. I made a jig to see what depth to put them in the pipes that changed the tone and what seemed to change how the bike ran. Here are a couple of pics.
It took some playing around to get the right size and keep them cemetrical in the openings. I seemed to get more pull from the bike on my short ride Monday. Comments?
i would be interesting to dyno it and see what you get. i was thinking of taking my mufflers off completely and trying the same thing. should sound wicked
I got a freebie coupon for 3 runs on the Dyno in Topeka. That's what I'm thinking also. I have nothing to loose at this point except $3 for the parts! I'm interested to see if it did anything at all and if they can really tune them on the dyno. Thanks.

AQHA, this is how we tuned in the 60s so we could run with straight drag pipes.
You may even want to go with a larger washer.
The tuning comes by turning the washer to different angles,
until you find the best angle,
or flat like to have them now.
That looks like what the thunder moster baffle is bassed on. There may be more to the thunder monster, as in the shape and design of the rest of the unit, a comparison would be great if somebody were to make one.
