OK -
I just have to take this post sideways for a bit - WTF is up with the inspection stickers and inspection plates?
I live in the most F'd up regulated state in the country (MA). We have f'd up insurance, and all kinds of f'd up MV regulations, yet at inspection time we get a 1x2" sticker attached to our standard sized license plate. WFT is up with stickers and plates on the sides of bikes??????? How the F does a LEO that is checking for infractions actually see this???? Is he driving right next to you???????
I lived in Texas for a handful of years - near as I can tell - there are almost no rules down there at all regarding motor vehicles - yet they F over the bike riders with their non-sense inpection plate bullshit.

I got pulled over this summer because the LEO couldn't see my inspection sticker because my wife's boot was in the way. As I pulled over and the wife got off the bike, the cop could see the sticker. He flexed his muscles for a bit and let me go with a verbal warning. Didn't say **** about my novelty helmet though...
