Default Fork Slider install advice

Hello all,

I've posted questions before about installing chrome controls and internal wiring -it's all done and working great (thanks to all for the helpful input)

My new project is installing aftermarket fork sliders i have for my 98 Wide Glide.
I've got a 6" 6mm allen socket coming in the mail, a Manual and an impact wrench at my disposal..I want to keep the tubes on the bike. My question is.. Will I need to replace the fork seals?? I've read posts about PVC tubing to get as a tool, but should I order new seals and have them on hand for the swap?

Thanks for any suggestions I can get.

Replace all seals and such.

The seals are probably around 3-4 bux.

mud

edited to add - even if it was 2008 model, I would replace
all of that sorta stuff.

I've always been told to replace the seals when taking apart the forks. Like mud said seals are cheap, It's not worth risking a leak and having to do it again.

I do not replace the seals unless they are leaking.
