I was able to take my 08 fxdc out for a ride recently and found something strange: When coming to a stop and slowing down through the gears I found I was still in third gear after stopping but it was acting like I was in first. I still needed to down gear to first. This happened several times. Any ideas?

when I had my dyna, after about 10k miles on it it started doing that. It would not go down to first when coming to a stop. I had to let the clutch out a bit while pressing down on the shifter to get it into first.

The problem...I'm not really sure it wouldn't do it all the time, seemed like it did it mostly when cold. Recheck your clutch adjustment and change your primary and tranny fluids. I think the manual states that if your primary is slightly overfull, it will cause the clutch to drag.

Has mine stopped..I don't know I traded it at 15,5k for a Road King.
