I have a couple gallons of used oil to dispose of from changing out the superglide.I have come to realize that I don't want to pollute the environment anymore. In the old days I used todump it.My trucks get changed at the dealer but I change the bike myself. How do you dispose of yours?
I dump all my oil in a clean plastic 55 gal drum and return it to auto parts store Auto Zone ect. I change lawn mowers monthly. Trucks and cars every 5000 miles. Harley every 2500 miles.
Any business that changes oil is supposed to take your used drain oil. I used to bring our Jeep to the dealership for service and I'd load up the back full of drain oil and they let me dump it in their recycling tank.
Do you have a recycling center in your area? We have several close by that take used motor oil and other hazardous waste. They are usually run by the county. I have many gallons of drain oil stored in plastic containers strategicaly hid in corners of my tool shed and garage. I got behind on getting rid of it and I'm slowly getting to the recycling center. I should get a waste oil heater for my garage. I'm glad you're not dumping your oil on the ground anymore.

I take the used synthetic oil from 4 trucks and 1 motorcycle to Advanced Auto Parts store. They have a large tank in the back of the store for used oil.
