gilly, i'm sure *alot* will make it into an accredited dictionary at some point.
but we have to agree, the reason is because it is so often misspelled.
reminds me of when some academians wanted to add ebonic words to the dictionary
Yeah I guess you have a point. I just happen to like "alot" and think it deserves a spot in proper English as much as some of the other examples, like "alright" and "maybe". Misspell I never even TRY to use because I'm afraid I'll get it wrong. I use "spell incorrectly" instead.
"I'm a smart-assed, ****-talking, no-it-all, over-opinionated azzhole. I rub alot of people the wrong way" ...(whenyou drink). Fact is, I don't give a damn if you drink or not but to get on this forum and say what you said to fraggerj is inexcusable, and your apology, though better than nothing, is lame. Maybe you're just a lovable teddybear most of the time and it sounds like you're used to charming everybody after the fact..."It's just who I am and I realize that". I don't buy it.
Get off your high horse, everybody deserves a second chance.
He said he was sorry[]
Been there, done that. I've been warned/banned a few times from another board (which shall remain nameless) after posting while ****-faced. Its also in my nature to stir up ****, but I attempt to curb that tendancy whenever possible. Unless, as luck seems to always have it, if I am drunk and around cops, I will be going to jail. In any case, as far as I'm concerned, you now have a clean slate here (and yes, I am aware of the original post where you shot your mouth off). Like I said, been there, done that...
