ok, so I went ahead and ordered some Vance n Hines slip on for my streetbob. As far as I can tell there is only one type. But, when I go to their website.....the pic they use as an example.....they look much shorter than the stock mufflers, and I'm not sure I'm diign' that look.
But, I thought for sure last year I "scoped" out a few at various bike hangouts...and they appeared to be nearly as long as the stock ones. I must be one of the odd dudes who loves the looks of the stock pipes ( but I hate the sound - or, should I say, lack od sound).
Anyways, idf anyone has any pics of a streetbob with the VnH slipons installed.....I'd appreciate seeing them.
thanks for the pic......i'm feeling better about the purchase right now, those look like the ones I saw thru the summer.....like i say, on the pics for dyna on the website.......they appeared to stop short of the axle nut.....thanks again, and yeah, I really like the blue as well !
I've been eyeing both the V&H and Rush slip-ons. I like the sound of the Rush but the V&H just seem to look better....like the slip-on muffler is roughly the same size as the pipe compared to the Rush being slightly bigger. Is it just me or do the V&H look a little cleaner?
Reason I say that is the pics above look great....thanks for posting!

2 Different looks for sure. The V&H almost gives the illusion that it's a straight pipe with a 2 piece heat shield. The baffle in them is almost non-existent compared to some of the other pipes as well. Rush (and others) is a wider muffler with varying baffles depending on what size you buy. I liked my V&H's but I think the Rush gives off a deeper tone. I had SE II's before the V&H and changed for the different look, mainly, especially when I walked into a dealer and found them marked to 50% off. I ended up selling my SE II's for more than I paid for the V&H's so it worked out well for me.
